The first word that comes to mind when I think of the holiday season this year is Gratitude. Gratitude for the clients I have met, the small businesses we have been able to help stay afloat. The resiliency I’ve seen.

I understand the importance of home or living without a proper home. I lived it with my daughters a couple of years ago, waiting for months in a one bedroom apartment together, attending grueling court sessions helping them to voice their opinions on the injustice that had be done to them by a team of unrelenting lawyers. Once we moved through that and won, we each apreciated the comforts of home. A soft, safe place to land when times are tough. And right now times are tough for many people.

That’s why Holiday Helpers really resonates with me- they provide happiness and emotional relief in a time that is stressful- because the reality is that the holidays ARE stressful, and expensive for many families.

So, I have partnered with these amazing woman this year to keep the spirit of kindness alive during one of the most difficult years that many of us have known. Because I understand that sometimes your circumstances are not your choice and you just need a soft, welcoming place to fall and re-group. Creating a welcoming environment is soulful and helps restore our energy.
